These first sculpts by Ian Mountain were the first of the S.D.Z.A. Miniatures range to arrive at the Warlock residence today, and I couldn't have been more excited when they turned up - British Secret Agents - thought they are familiar looking, they have been conceptualized as generic suave British Agents. Though either one would be perfect to represent Jacob Nexus, a British Secret Agent and the Worlds first Prime. And the first two Sanctioned Primes - also more commonly known as F.O.N. (Freaks of Nature) Operatives (these are the Primes that work for the various City States around the World, well - those that will have them) - there was also a separate extra head sprue sculpted for these, to further increase the flexibility of your options. One "Morlock" Head (Morlocks are de-evolved Humans living in abandoned Subways and Sewer systems under many of the larger City-States, and another wearing Night Vision Goggles). These have now been mastered to molds for a limited release of Resin "Masters" - unlike with metal there is very little shrinkage, and the detail is VERY close to the original model - usually these sort of casts are rarely sold to the Public (and when they are it's always at a premium), but I have always been one to "share" - they cost a little more (as Resin Casting is More Expensive), but I will endeavor to keep my prices as low as possible. These are pictures of the first few Resin Master Castings after being turned from their molds. All very exciting, but still loads to do!!!!

These are very nice and useful. Will there be more FON variants with weapons and tools?

These are very nice and useful. Will there be more FON variants with weapons and tools? Yes, there will - the next two Primes are "Rogue Primes" - but, with the proper paintjob, the could easily be used as F.O.N. Operatives as well

I can definitely see me starting with FON; I love the uniformity with different flourishes - I am a sucker for that when done well for low model count stuff. I can actually see me maybe doubling up on the FON to do another project with them....great stuff DW. Will there be a 'studio' version colour scheme for FON?

I wanted the entire range to be good for multiple uses - it was important for me (as a rampant gamer/collector myself) for them to be that way. Yes, I will be painting the Studio lot up as "British" F.O.N. Operatives - and they will be wearing medium/dark red with White "Padding". American F.O.N. Operatives wear Navy Blue with White Padding, and the NATO F.O.N. Operatives wear Slate Grey Jump Suits. Don't Forget F.O.N. Operatives are sent on special Missions, so you could technically see them teamed up with Civilians, the Military, British Intelligence etc - even Uni-Tech under the right circumstances.

For one set I see a red, white and black as a likelihood for me.

I think my first bunch are going to be Nato. I quite fancy having them from different countries though I may regret that decision when it comes to do national flag patches on there arms lol

The "pads" will prevent that, but it might be a good idea to put the flag on the left hand side of the chest.
